Light My Fire!
After the intensity of Easter, this Sunday’s message was a powerful reminder that we’re not just called to bask in the light of Jesus—we’re called to carry it. The sermon titled "Light My Fire!" explored three key meanings of light—illumination, weightlessness, and flame—all pointing to one truth: God has lit a fire in us, and it’s time to let it burn.
The Three R’s
This week’s message brought an old schoolhouse phrase into a new light: Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic. But instead of dusty chalkboards and multiplication tables, we were given a fresh look at how these three foundational skills can draw us deeper into the Word of God and into transformed Christian living.
Callous
At some point in life, we’ve all experienced a callous. Sometimes it’s been on our hands, maybe our feet, or perhaps — without realizing it — on our hearts. In this sermon pastor Dewayne explores how physical calluses serve as a spiritual metaphor. We are reminded that while hard work is noble, it can also lead to a dangerous numbness if not balanced with compassion and rest.
Satisfied — Philippians 3
We live in a world of constant desire. We are always chasing more — more things, more money, more success. This weeks sermon from pastor Dewayne invites us to examine both what satisfies us and what doesn’t satisfy — especially when it comes to our walk with God.
